How To Make A Gingerbread Loaf
Line a 9 inch loaf pan with parchment and set aside.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, nutmeg, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, mix together the brown sugar, butter, and molasses. Add the vanilla and eggs, and mix until well combined.

Alternate adding the dry mixture and the buttermilk, folding together until just combined.
Pour into the parchment lined loaf pan and smooth out evenly.

Bake 45-50 minutes, careful not to over bake.
Allow the bread to cool completely.

Then, sift the powdered sugar over top.

Slice and enjoy.
Important Recipe Notes

Don’t skip the parchment paper. This ensures the loaf will not stick to the pan.
Whisk together the dry ingredients to separate any clumps.
Alternate adding in the dry mixture and the buttermilk to ensure the ingredients are fully incorporated for a moist loaf.
Be careful not to over-bake the loaf. Check it after 40 minutes. Insert a toothpick into the center to check if it is done.
