How To Make This Crockpot Broccoli Cheddar Soup

To the crock pot, add your broccoli.

Add the celery, onion, garlic powder, nutmeg, pepper, and chicken bouillon.

Add the flour, evaporated milk, and the chicken broth.

Cook on low for 3-4 hours, until broccoli is fork tender.


Add the parmesan cheese and shredded cheddar, and cook until the cheese is melted.


Top the soup with extra shredded cheese.

Important Recipe Notes

This is a “set it and forget it” meal. Simply add all the ingredients to the crockpot. and cook on low.

Check the crockpot at about 3 hours to see if the broccoli is tender. Smaller pieces of broccoli will cook faster.

Top the soup with shredded cheddar cheese and any other toppings you prefer.

FAQ

If you don’t have chicken broth or want to use something else, vegetable broth will work as well, but may make the color darker.

The nutmeg can be omitted, if wanted.

Since there are are lot of meat, wheat, and dairy products in this recipe, it will be difficult to make it allergy friendly and get the same great taste.
