What You’ll Need For This Honey Ham

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in spiral-sliced ham, 8–10 pounds
  • 1 cup honey
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

How To Make This Honey Ham

Preheat the oven to 325 F.

Place the ham in a toasting pan cut-side down. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil.

Bake the ham for 10-12 minutes per pound, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 140 F.

While the ham is baking, add honey, brown sugar, orange juice, Dijon mustard, butter, cinnamon, and cloves to a small saucepan to make the glaze.

Cook it over medium-low heat, stirring it until the sugar dissolves completely and the glaze is smooth.

Simmer it for 2-3 minutes, then remove it from the heat.

Remove the foil in the last 30 minutes of baking and generously brush the ham with the honey glaze. Ensure to brush the entire ham and in between the slices.

Put the uncovered ham back in the oven and brush it with additional glaze every 10 minutes. If you’re looking for an extra caramelized finish, increase your oven temperature to 400 F for the last 5-10 minutes. Watch carefully so the glaze doesn’t burn.

When finished baking, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. Spoon the extra glaze from the pan over the slices.
